Fronting the campaign Art Against AIDS
ONE® continues to strive and play a critical role in the global health arena in reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS and Sexual Transmitted Infections (STI) thru creativity and innovation. I mean hey, who do you think came up with the Super Studded Durian, Nasi Lemak Panas and Teh Tarik Kurang Manis and Rendang!

History of AAA

2019  –AAA 2019 featuring panel speakers and renowned professional artists – Stephen Menon, Shafiq Nordin, Arikwibowo Amril, Haslin Ismail to name a few and students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) together with Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) has raised over RM 1 million for various NGOs fighting for HIV/AIDS since its first debut.

2018  –AAA 2018 including student art competition from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and together with the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) collaborated with prominent artists including Stephen Menon, Ahmad Zakii Anwar, Fawwaz Sukri, Arikwibowo Amril and Putra Nazri has raised close to RM 1 million since its first launch in 2015 for various welfare organisations in league to battle against sexual health issues among the public.

2017 – For the first time, hosted in Black box, Publika; Karex annual charity art auction has been rebranded to Art Against AIDS (AAA) featuring student art competition bridged students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) with renowned professional local artists including Najib Ahmad, Ahmad Zakii Anwar, Khalil Ibrahim and Eng Tay to raise over RM700,000 for various organisations catering and committed to combating sexual health issues among the public.

2016 – Karex Berhad is proud to be hosting its annual charity art auction situated at One Utama featuring prominent artists including Najib Ahmad Bamadhaj, Eng Tay, Khalil Ibrahim to name a few and panel speakers, each of whom plays integral roles in working with key affected populations in Malaysia on HIV/AIDS, gender identity and sexual health issues.

2015 – An overwhelming passion over musical and comedy sparks the idea between Karex CEO, MK Goh and wife, Jennifer to come out with a charity programme in the form of musical variety show – “In Your Face”. It was held in Connexion @ Nexus Auditorium, Bangsar South from 3-5 December 2015. Directed by Llew Marsh. Featuring – Kuah Jenhan, Shamaine Othman, Prakash Daniel. Starring – Joanne Kam, Tony Eusoff with Ashley Chan, Sean Chong, and Lalitha Monisha. The fund raised from the tickets sold has been channeled to various welfare organisations fighting for the cause of HIV/AIDS amounted to RM 578, 000.
